Southern California is deeply rooted in American culture as the epicentre of automobile development and cinema. Today, Vineland is the last remaining drive-in theatre in Los Angeles County, nestled between an industrial area and a residential suburb alongside Interstate 605. Accommodating up to 1,500 vehicles per night, it draws visitors as much for the films as for the social life that unfolds across its parking lots. Stories of appropriation.
